The
Engagement

Mozaic was engaged by a bank to support its acquisition.  This engagement ensured the technical complexities were fully understood, risks mitigated, and that the challenge of integrating the clients IT could and would be met post Day One completion.

Our involvement then continued to support the delivery of our plans and recommendations, providing a wide spectrum of consulting services to, including the architecture and infrastructure advice and skills.

The Challenge

Ensuring a Smooth IT Transition Post-Acquisition

Amongst the many challenges associated with M&A, the parent previously provided core elements of the Bank’s IT systems and services. For the acquisition to be successful, all existing IT must smoothly transition.

Of course, the transition could not take place until the acquisition was complete; discovery of the estate , due diligence and planning were required to demonstrate to that this could be undertaken successfully following Day One completion.

Mozaic provided a small, focused team comprising a Delivery Director / Enterprise Architect, Programme Planner and Solution Architect, who worked in close collaboration with all involved to perform detailed due diligence on the technical estate and develop a viable transition plan and co-ordination of three other suppliers.

A key part of this activity was the alignment and mobilisation of existing and new technical partners, to ensure a rapid start to transition delivery from Day 1.  Mozaic delivered commercial alignment of the Exit across three such partners working within governance.

The Approach

Delivering a Focused, Collaborative Transition Approach

The Results

Ensuring a Smooth Day One and Beyond

All Day One services were available.  Our transition plan was agreed with delivery partners, providing the path forward, but it was only the start of the IT change.

The detailed assessment and planning completed by the small Mozaic team de-risked the transition and provided a clear roadmap for the future. This provided confidence to all that the future transition could be achieved without negatively impacting operations, services or customer service.
