“Will AI replace me?” is a question being asked across the consulting industry. As AI advances, it is already taking on many of the tasks traditionally associated with consulting, from analysing data and identifying patterns to developing roadmaps and producing insights.
At Mozaic, we are on the brink of releasing our own AI-agentic consultant, and we are far from the only organisation exploring what this means for the future of consulting. The technology is becoming increasingly capable of handling the technical aspects of an assessment, but there are important questions about what it cannot replicate.
A consultant’s value extends beyond the information contained in process documents, reports and contracts. The most important insights are often found in the conversations behind the documentation: what stakeholders are reluctant to share, the underlying causes of organisational challenges, and the trust required to bring those issues to the surface.
An AI-led assessment could process vast amounts of information at remarkable speed. Yet, without the human interaction needed to uncover what is missing, it risks overlooking the very issues that matter most.
In this session led by Hannah Holden, Methodology Architect at Mozaic, she will explore what makes an effective consultant in an increasingly AI-driven industry. While AI can transform how analysis is conducted, the ability to build trust, encourage openness and challenge established ways of working remains central to delivering meaningful change.
